Broadway Limited 449 HO Chicago Burlington & Quincy Series Diesel EMD E8A EX/Box

This is a Broadway Limited 449 HO Scale Chicago Burlington & Quincy Paragon™ Series Diesel EMD E8A Powered with Dynamic Brake Sound Limited-Run #9937.Following on the success of its earlier E series units, EMD introduced the more powerful E8 in 1949. This unit sported the shorter bulldog nose found on the F series, but its longer body housed a pair of 567B prime movers, delivering 2250 horsepower. Before production ended in 1953, 421 A and 39 B units were built, making the E8 the most successful of the E series locos. Models feature prototypicAlly accurate detail and dynamic brake Sounds.
