Lionel 182 Vintage O Gantry Crane

Here is a Lionel 182 O Vintage Operating Gantry Crane with Electromagnet from 1946-49. Gantry Cranes are one of Lionel‘s greatest accessories. You can rotate the cab right or left, raise and lower the hook, and turn the electromagnet on and off all by remote control. When you turn on the electromagnet you can pick up small steel items and load and unload them, like from your scrap yard and into waiting gondolas. When the electromagnet is on there is also a red light in the cab that illuminates as well. It measures approximately 10" inches in height, 6" inches in width, and 7" inches in length. This item has been graded per TCA standards C-5: Good based on visual appearance. This crane shows heavy scratching and paint loss on various sections of the shell and baseplate. There is heavy rusting on the frame as well as on and underneath the baseplate. The bracket that holds the rope for the hook of the crane is broken. The instruction manual is not included. The original box is not included. Please check the photos for a detailed look at this item. Overall condition is Good.
