Lionel 2046 Vintage O 4-6-4 Steam Locomotive VG

This is a Lionel 2046 Vintage O 4-6-4 Steam Locomotive from 1950-53. This engine was used in many mid-sized O27 sets in the early 1950s. Features include an all metal construction, a reverse unit, light, smoke, and magnetraction. It also features metal hand-rails, wheels and axles. The matching tender is a 2046W but it is not included.

Known as the Baltic in Europe and the Hudson in North America, the 4-6-4 was introduced in the early 20th century finding success in hauling freight and as a shunting model. Their use would initially find great success on North American railways before eventually becoming mainstays in rail-yards around the world!

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. This item tested functional with some difficulty and stuttering. There are light nicks and scratches on the surface of the shell and chassis. The roof of the cab is bent and has significant paint loss. The instruction manual is not included.
