Lionel 2379 Vintage O Rio Grande F3 AB Diesel Locomotive Set VG

Here is a Lionel 2379 Vintage O Rio Grande F3 AB Diesel Locomotive Set from 1957-58. These F3s headed up a couple of freight train sets from those years and are among the sharpest of Lionel's Postwar F3s. There is a light in the nose that illuminates the cab, headlight and number boards. It has an operating pilot coupler and all other couplers are fixed. Both units have die-cast side frame trucks. The powered A unit features dual vertical motors with magnetraction and a horn.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. There are light nicks, scratches, and spots of surface rust on the shell and chassis of both locomotives. Additionally, signs of paint wear, chips, and abrasions are visible throughout their surfaces. The roofs of both items show heavier signs of wear. The horn is missing. This item has been inspected by our repair shop. Please see the attached picture for inspection details and additional operation information. The locomotive is missing the horn.
