Lionel 6-18000 O Gauge Pennsylvania 0-6-0 B6 Switcher Locomotive & Tender #8977 EX/Box

Here is a Lionel 6-18000 O Gauge Pennsylvania Railroad 0-6-0 B6 Switcher Locomotive & Tender #8977 from 1989. This was the first Lionel locomotive equipped with Railsounds. Features include die-cast metal construction of both the locomotive & tender, electronic railsounds remotely activated by a standard Lionel transformer, smoking stack and steam chest, spoked drivers, three position reverse unit, opening boiler front, operating headlight, metal handrails, operating backup light on the tender, jeweled marker lights, operating knuckle couplers and a slide switch for whistle or bell activation.

Upon its introduction during the 19th century, the 0-6-0 would quickly become one of the most widely used models in many rail-yards due to its versatility becoming a favored unit over its 0-4-0 and 0-8-0 counterparts. With their ability to operate on both heavy and light railways, the 0-6-0 would become a staple in rail-yards all over the world!

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-7: Excellent based on visual appearance. There are nicks, scratches, and scuff marks present on the surface of this locomotive and tender. Some of the handrail trim pieces are slightly bent out of shape. The wheels show average run-time. This item has been out on display previously and its overall appearance could be significantly improved with a thorough dusting or a light wipe down. The instruction manual is included.
