Lionel 6-2315 O Gauge Operating Coaling Station/Box

Here is a Lionel 2315 Operating Coaling Station from 1983-84. This is the MPC remake of the Postwar 497 Station and is somewhat hard to find. This neat accessory is part of Lionel's long line of coal loading and unloading accessories. It features both loading and unloading action. First it will automatially unload a 3459 or 3469 coal dump car into the waiting bin. Then, the bin rises to the top of the tower and dumps the coal into the tower, and then the coal is dropped back into the waiting car at the flip of a lever. Really neat!

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-5: Good based on visual appearance. There are severe nicks, scratches, and spots of surface rust on the body of this item. Numerous Elements are missing, broken, bent, or damaged. There is severe paint loss across the body of this item. The instruction manual is not included. The original box is included.
