Lionel 6-2315 O Gauge Operating Coaling Station EX/Box

Here is a Lionel 2315 Operating Coaling Station from 1983-84. This is the MPC remake of the Postwar 497 Station and is somewhat hard to find. This neat accessory is part of Lionel's long line of coal loading and unloading accessories. It features both loading and unloading action. First it will automatically unload a 3459 or 3469 coal dump car into the waiting bin. Then, the bin rises to the top of the tower and dumps the coal into the tower, and then the coal is dropped back into the waiting car at the flip of a lever. Really neat!

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-7: Excellent based on visual appearance. There are light nicks and scratches on the surface of the shell and chassis. This item has been out on display previously and its overall appearance could be significantly improved with a thorough dusting or a light wipe down. The instruction manual is included.
