Lionel 6-2315 O Gauge Operating Coaling Station VG/Box

Here is a Lionel 2315 Operating Coaling Station from 1983-84. This is the MPC remake of the Postwar 497 Station and is somewhat hard to find. This neat accessory is part of Lionel's long line of coal loading and unloading accessories. It features both loading and unloading action. First it will automatically unload a 3459 or 3469 coal dump car into the waiting bin. Then, the bin rises to the top of the tower and dumps the coal into the tower, and then the coal is dropped back into the waiting car at the flip of a lever. Really neat!

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. There is some rust throughout various sections of the coaling station. There is rust on the track. The roof is missing. The overall appearance of this item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. The instruction manual is not included. The original box is included. The previous owner has placed stickers on this item's packaging. Please check the photos for a detailed look at this item. Overall condition is Very Good.
