Lionel 671 Vintage O 6-8-6 Die-Cast Steam Turbine Locomotive

This is a Lionel 671 6-8-6 Die-Cast Steam Turbine Locomotive from 1946-49. This classic features die-cast metal construction, a worm drive motor, an operating smoke unit, an operating headlight, a 3 position forward-neutral-reverse E-unit, metal side rods and metal wheels. The 671 was a mainstay of Lionel‘s line in the late 1940s. This engine has the smoke-bulb type smoke unit. A tender is not included.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-5: Good based on visual appearance. This item functioned when tested however there was some difficulty stuttering and running this item. There is some severe paint loss across the surface of this item. There are severe nicks, scratches, and spots of surface rust on the shell and chassis. The instruction manual is not included.
