Here is a MTH 30-1542-1 O UP 4-6-6-4 Imperial Challenger Steam Engine #3979 - Modified. This locomotive features a die-cast boiler & tender body, a die-cast metal chassis, a motor, die-cast trucks, metal wheels & axles, and a knuckle coupler.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-7: Excellent based on visual appearance. This item has been inspected by our repair shop. Please see the attached picture for inspection details and additional operation information. The previous owner has heavily modified this engine! The smoke unit has been removed. The PS 2.0 electronics have been removed and replaced with an ERR AC/DC Commander board and a Lionel RS Lite board. The marker lights on the engine were damaged and had to be removed. The cab light is not wired up to anything, the headlight and rear light stay on, and the red rear light is directional. The locomotive did run, but some components are non functional. There are nicks, scratches, and spots of paint loss present on these items. The wheels show average run-time. The instruction manual is included. The original box is included.
