
Nickel Plate Products HO BRASS Erie N-1 2-8-2 Steam Locomotive & Tender EX/Box
Introduced at the turn of the 20th century, the 2-8-2 was an innovator breaking from the traditional manufacturing of locomotives, and featuring a larger firebox paving the way for greater speeds at a higher rate of power! Before we knew it, the 2-8-2 also known as the "Mikado" found itself in rail yards around the world from the United States to the Congo hauling freight from stop to stop. The Mikado would undergo a temporary name change after the Pearl Harbor bombing in 1941 shortly going by the McArthur, before eventually going back to the Mikado name after WW2.
This item has been graded per TCA standards C-7: Excellent based on visual appearance. This Steam Locomotive runs intermittently when tested. There is a broken trim piece. There are scratches and minor tarnish on the surface of the shell and chassis. The instruction manual is not included. Please check the photos for a detailed look at this item.
